What you are doing now...
Hi Isaiah --- I just wanted to let you know what you are doing this week. First of all, you are developing so fast, and really growing up to be a wonderful toddler. You are such a happy boy, and when we are out in public people always comment on how cute you are, of course, but also how happy you are. You are so much like you Dad. You just love life all the time. I think you will be a very optimistic person.
Last night I left for work, and Daddy was feeding you. I said, "Bye, Bye," You started waving at me. Then I walked outside and started waving at you, and you waved at me again. You just bounce in your high chair with such excitement and wave, wave, wave at me. You wave at everyone now. You really understand what all that means, and it is so cute. You wave at people on the street, you wave at people where we go to work, you wave at dogs, you wave hello, and you wave good-bye.
You are also saying clearly: Hi, dog, Mama, Dada, BaBa. The cutest thing though is how you are really starting to grasp the launguage. You know when I ask you if you want bites that it is time to eat. You know exactly what Ni-Ni means (to go to bed).
You play this game with Daddy and me where we get on the floor in opposing corners from each other in the livingroom. I get on my hands and knees and you are on yours. I say, "I'm gonna get you!!!" and you crawl toward me really really excited. Once you get to me I pick you up and kiss you, or I take you and throw you in the air, or i wrestle you to the ground. You love not knowing what I'm going to do when you reach me.
When Dad comes home I say, "Guess what???" When I do, you go to the front door because you know Daddy is home or close to being home. It is so cute. You are always to happy to see Dad after work and Awanas too. Any time you spend with him, I can see a very special bond that has developed between the two of you. I can't wait to see how that bond grows over the years.
Also, I wanted to let you know that Dad and I found out that you are going to be a big brother around Christmas time. I know you don't know what that means right now, but someday when you can read this you will. I just want you to know that no matter how many kids we have, you are such a special son. You are our first born. God made you a wonderfully and perfectly made human. He made you exactly who you are supposed to be. We love you so much, and wanted to give you the gift of having a sibling and growing up with someone to love, protect, and enjoy life with.
I love you so much son. You are so precious to me!!
Love -- Mom
